Only One Month Left

We have been getting calls from you about where you can buy Mendis coconut brandy. Well right now we are in our pre-launch stage so we are not distributing the product as of yet, our official launch date is in Fall. The reason we started marketing early was so we could inform the market of Mendis and the new category “coconut brandy” prior to selling it. I personally don’t tend to buy products I don’t know anything about. Bearing this in mind we decided to set about several months in advance prior to distributing our product to educate and inform consumers about the Mendis brand and its uniqueness over other alcohols currently in the market.

In addition, we wanted to sell the first bottle as a collector item, something that has not been done before in the spirits industry. We thought it would be a good way to enable someone to share in our future along with creating a valuable asset for the lucky purchaser. Since we all don’t have a million dollars burning a hole in our pocket, we decided to give away the second bottle ever produced in the world of Mends coconut brandy to one lucky person that enters Mendis Millions Dollar Bottle Sweepstakes.

The Sweepstakes enables one lucky person that visits our website and enters the Sweepstakes to have the opportunity to win a very valuable bottle of alcohol, the worlds second bottle ever produced of Mendis coconut brandy. Only The Best In The World

At Mendis we are about quality rather than quantity, hence why we are in no rush to saturate the market with our product. It seems that the focus of new alcohol companies is to get as big as fast as possible or to get ready for an IPO as soon as possible. That’s not what were about. We love being that special little alcohol company, making big waves with a totally unique product that’s never been seen before.

Mendis uniqueness is not only to be represented in the product itself, but also in our corporate philosophy (au naturale) and our interaction with our customers. Even in our distribution we have decided to offer it initially only in select establishments. For all of our upcoming events and our product launch in New York and other states, we will have a reserve amount of tickets that we will have available to our customers, because we want you to be apart of our growth as well.

Mendis is on E!

It's official, our Mendis Million Dollar Bottle is featured on E! on "The Vine".

When the player comes up do a search under "mad bank", scroll down and click on our clip " 'Mad Bank' : Luxurious Liquor". The full clip will be airing on the E! channel sometime in the near future. When the air dates are finalized, we will let you know.

Rolling with Rolls Royce

Last week we were approached by the Rolls Royce Owners’ Club to be included in their Members Desk Diary for 2008 which is an invitation-only annual publication. The desk diary content is determined by its 11,000 members, which includes Rolls Royce and Bentley owners, and what they want to read about. We are ecstatic to be included in a publication that only selects ultra-luxury products worthy of the Rolls Royce car brand. We view the desk diary as a perfect marketing fit to the Mendis name.

Mendis on Times Square Big Board During March



Besides all the publicity we have been getting through print and digital media recently, Mendis has gone about pushing its own advertising out into the market to create brand awareness and educate consumers about Mendis coconut brandy. Back in late March we ran a series of ads on Times Square Big Board introducing New York City to Mendis Coconut Brandy. We see advertising as a key ingredient to our success, so we have gone about developing several different mediums to market Mendis.

However, bearing this in mind we don't have the multi-million dollar budgets of the big global beverage companies, which can spend upwards of $20 Million on marketing for a top selling brand per year. So we need to be smarter and more innovative with how we go about promoting Mendis on a substantially smaller budget than our competitors. So far though, we are delighted to be on E! Entertainment/E! Online, which none of our competitors have got on. We are also looking at working with a national news show to do an event on Mendis Million Dollar Bottle.

In addition, we have some other leading media names that we are doing advertising with to inform our consumers about Mendis. Next week we will go more in depth with whom we are working with. We have some real exciting events leading up to our launch in Fall and are thrilled to be able to share them with you.

First draft of Mendis van design



Here is the initial design for our vans from Avion Graphics in California. They have sent us several different ones, though this one is more than likely the version we will go with. We chose this design as it has the most eye catching graphics, yet keeps the overall layout simple and classy, like our product. Let us know what you think!

Update on E! Entertainment

E! Entertainment’s segment on Mendis coconut brandy and the Mendis Million Dollar Bottle will air the week of May 21st - 27th. The program that Mendis is airing on is a new show called "Mad Bank", produced by E! covering ultra-luxury products and places for the super-rich. We will provide firm airing times and dates around May 19th so you can all get ready to watch the show. In relation to the magazine articles, several are coming out this month also and we will provide publication names that Mendis is in for the month of May, once we are notified by the publicist

Mendis and Grey Goose

As you all may know we are selling our first bottle of Mendis coconut brandy ever produced in the world for $1 Million Dollars. To put the real priceless value of our first bottle into perspective we need to think about it in another aspect. Ask yourself how much would you pay for the first bottle of Grey Goose? It could possibly be priceless now - if they ever thought of selling it like we did.

It is easy to say to yourself in retrospect that you would have bought the first bottle of Grey Goose, though when it first came out around 12 years ago, no one knew of it and had little thought that it would become what it has. Even Bacardi back in the day said there was no such thing as an ultra-premium vodka. Many critics came out and frowned upon Grey Goose and what it was trying to do. In light of this, by Mendis selling its first bottle (signed and numbered) for a million dollars is very good value - not to mention an industry first.
